Designer Chayse Dacoda didn't realize just how daunting a task it would be to transform David's backyard for his wife, Teresa. The yard is a barren lot of dirt, and it's a risky business to try and create a beautiful outdoor space from nothing. Luckily, the While You Were Out team is adept at beating the odds. With permission from homeowner David, the team heads to the blackjack table with the $1800 budget, with the hopes of winning a little extra cash to help fully realize Chayse's vision.
As the backyard begins its transformation from barren desert to oasis, wife Teresa is hiking and biking just a few miles from home in Red Rock Canyon. She and her sister are being followed by our secret shooter, under the guise that they're being filmed for a television show about athletic women.
But cold winds begin to blow, which cools off Teresa's desire to continue her bike trip. She decides to head home in the early afternoon, with the design nowhere near completion. David quickly and cleverly spins a web of deceit to stall his wife, but Teresa can only be held off for so long and as she heads homewards there's a mighty big truck and a heap of gravel still outside her house. Wonder if she'll guess there's anything going on?
