Take one professional football player (that's 6' 4" and 275 pounds) and pit him against one professional designer (who's 5' 5 1/2" and as light as cotton candy). An unequal battle, some would say, but when the players are San Diego Chargers defensive end, Marcellus Wiley, and While You Were Out star running back, Chayse Dacoda, you're in for some pretty fancy footwork on the field and far too much laughter in the huddle for a fight.
So here's the game plan: Marcellus adores older sister Tiki and wants to do something special to surprise her. She's not been in her Los Angeles home for very long and the family room — where everyone hangs out, including Marcellus and friends when he's in town — is almost as lackluster as the Chargers' performance this season (sorry Marcellus — we couldn't resist!). The WYWO team is in the peak of their form for this top billing event: Dacoda's painting diamonds on the wall, giving rise to some suspicion she may be thinking baseball rather than football; Evan Farmer's playing in so many different positions it's difficult to keep track of him; Leslie Segrete is chained to the sewing machine for over a day, recovering the sofa cushions and making enough drapes to cover Reliant Stadium and Jason Cameron's got so much carpentry to deal with we can almost be assured of overtime.
Be prepared for the game of the season with some pinpoint passing from Dacoda and brilliant receiving from Farmer, Cameron and Segrete. The only trouble is, when Marcellus isn't teaching the team the finer points of the 'Buck the Bolt' dance, he seems far too eager to take timeout on the sofa. It may be one of the most enjoyable transformations the team has ever tackled, but can they keep their eye on the ball and get it finished?
