Now you all know how this show works… someone stays home and someone goes away. And the one that goes away gets a big surprise when they get home. Whoopedy-do! Couldn't be easier. Or so we thought.
Brian's an aspiring actor, but until Hollywood beckons he has to support his acting career with other jobs and herein lies the problem. The weekend we wanted to film in the house, we couldn't get Brian out of Tucson because he was going to be performing in a play and working at a local store. So we've told him our secret shooter is doing a piece on struggling actors and they want to showcase Brian's story. Part of the deal is that we want to film Brian having dinner at a hotel in downtown Tucson and we've offered to give him and Mary an all-expenses paid luxury room for the night as well. Brian's bought it so far… but then Evan drifts into town. He knows Brian doesn't watch the show and therefore won't recognize him. It's just too great a temptation for our host to put his own acting skills to the test. Mark Montano and the team are left to work on transforming the living room while Brian's at a safe distance and hopefully won't pop home before we're ready for him.
Mary wants to create a mid-century modern lounge for Brian. He has been dreaming of doing this kind of design in his house for some time but being a struggling actor and having to work at two, sometimes three, jobs, there's never enough time.
This room has a lot of furniture which has been passed down from family or bought from local flea markets, so Mark has got a lot of clutter to deal with before he can start to inject some style into the living room.
Tune in to see if the WYWO team can pull it off!
