They screamed, they cried, they jumped for joy … and that was just at the design reveal. Who are we talking about here? Two of the most exuberant, excitable and opinionated WYWO contributors we've ever encountered: sisters, Chrys and Marla. This dynamic duo hate their mother's all-green kitchen and have called on While You Were Out to give it a radical change — or there'll be screaming, crying and jumping of a very different sort! Designer John Bruce has his sights set high, planning a kitchen that will be sure to have their mother Sandra on cloud nine. There are cabinets to reface, a floor to lay, paintwork galore, the most amazing lampshade made out of PVC pipes and costing mere pennies, and about a hundred other projects for the team to squeeze into two days.

Day One's a blast and all's happy in Camp Kitchen. Mom's away in Dyersburg, Tenn., on a trip with her church group. But there's a cooler wind blowing on Day Two as Chrys and Marla get an attack of the doubting Thomas jitters and begin to seriously fret about the end result.
