WYWO has encountered many inspirational people in its time, but Jayne is one of those remarkable individuals who capture your heart and won't let it go. This clever and beautiful single young mother was diagnosed with a type of brain cancer four years ago and has already had to undergo two major operations. Despite the rigors of surgery, she's battled the illness, worked with her friend Mary on raising awareness of the disease AND raised a teenage daughter, Megan.

Jayne's close friend Cindy felt that she really deserved an oasis of calm in her Long Island home. Jayne uses the back patio area a lot, but it's dark and gloomy — hardly a place you'd find any peace and tranquility. So with Jayne away at her parents' home, the WYWO team — led by Zen master Mark Montano — are on Mission Serenity. Of course, the amazing thing about this show is the love and affection Jayne's friends and family have for her. Add in a transformation of a small, dark space into someplace light and tranquil, with a small budget and a lot of heart, and it truly turns amazing with a capital "A".
