Below are answers to frequently asked questions about TLC Property Ladder's "Real Estate Riches" Sweepstakes. We suggest you print this page for future reference.

When is the Sweepstakes?

The sweepstakes starts on September 6, 2005 and runs through October 31, 2005.

Who may enter?

Any legal U.S. resident who is 18 or older and who resides within the viewing area of a participating cable provider or affiliate at the time of entry may enter.

How do I enter?

There are two ways to enter: online and by mail.

Online: access a participating local sponsor's website and click on the "Real Estate Riches" Sweepstakes banner or go to http://tlc.discovery.com/sweepstakes/riches/. Complete the online entry form and submit so that it is received by Sponsor's server by 11:59 PM ET on October 31, 2005. If you are already a member of My Discovery and are logged in, just hit enter to automatically submit your information for a chance to win. If you are not a My Discovery member, you will be asked to complete a one-time registration form and become a member on your first visit.

By mail: Complete an Official Entry Form available at retailers in participating cable provider areas during the promotion period (while supplies last), or print your name, complete address, phone number, date of birth and name of your cable provider (if applicable and at your option) on a postcard. Mail your entry to be postmarked by October 31, 2005 and received by November 5, 2005 to: "Real Estate Riches" Sweepstakes, PMI Station, PO Box 3523-B, Southbury, CT 06488-3523. No mechanical reproduction of entries permitted.

How often may I enter?

Regardless of how you enter, you may enter only once a day.

What are the prizes?

The Grand Prize offered in this sweepstakes will also be offered to entrants in other versions of the "Real Estate Riches" Sweepstakes. The Grand Prize is a consultation with a team of home, design and real estate experts who will provide practical advice on how to increase the value of the winner's home and $5,000 cash for the winner to use to put the plan into action. After the winner has been verified, he/she will be required to submit a video or photos of his/ her home. The team of experts will then develop a design plan, a materials list and instructions to carry out the plan. The approximate retail value of the Grand Prize is $5,000.00.

There will also be First Prize winners chosen from among the entries submitted within the viewing area of each participating cable provider or affiliate. We estimate that 15 First Prizes will be awarded, each consisting of a weekend trip for two people to New York City, which will include round trip coach air travel for two people, standard double-occupancy accommodations for 3 days/2 nights, ground transportation, activities selected by Sponsor, and some meals. The approximate retail value of each First Prize trip is $2,000.

When and how will the winners be selected?

The winners will be chosen in random drawings to be held on February 1, 2006.

How will I know if I've won?

The winners will be contacted by mail after the random drawings. If you'd like to know who won, just mail a self-addressed, stamped envelope to be received by November 30, 2005 to: "Real Estate Riches" Winners, PMI Station, PO Box 750-A, Southbury, CT 06488-0750.

What are my chances of winning?

Your chances of winning the Grand Prize will be determined by the total number of eligible entries received in this and all other versions of the "Real Estate Riches" Sweepstakes.

Your chances of winning a First Prize will be based on the number of eligible entries received from the viewing area of the participating cable provider or affiliate in your area.

By entering the sweepstakes will I automatically win something?

No, when you enter, you are entering for a chance to win a prize. The winners will be chosen in the random drawings detailed above.

I have a friend who wants to enter. Can he or she still participate even though the sweepstakes has already started?

Yes! Your friend may enter once a day through October 31, 2005, by any of the methods described above.

How many people can enter the sweepstakes?

The sweepstakes has an ongoing registration so it is difficult to say, but there is no maximum number.

Why is the sweepstakes available only to U.S. residents?

Different rules and regulations associated with games of chance in other countries make it difficult to administer sweepstakes and games outside the United States.

What should I do if I can't reach the sweepstakes web pages when I try to visit?

Come back and try again another time! Many Internet sites experience "traffic jams" from time to time. Refreshing the page may help. However, if you have problems connecting to all web sites, contact your system administrator; you may have a problem at your end.

I'm having trouble entering the sweepstakes. My computer seems to be too slow or times out repeatedly. What should I do?

From time to time, the Internet experiences heavy periods of traffic. The slowdown in the registration process is often caused by a large number of consumers trying to register for the sweepstakes at the same time. If you are experiencing "time-outs" while trying to register, we suggest that you wait a few minutes or try again at a later time.

I'm a Macintosh user. Will I have trouble entering the sweepstakes?

No, the sweepstakes is equally accessible through Macs and PCs.
