PONDEROSA BBQ - Finalist
PIT MASTER: Marlando "Moe" Cason
Hometown: Des Moines, IA
A water treatment operator from Des Moines, Iowa, Moe has been cooking BBQ for over 30 years but didn't join the pro circuit of competing until 2006. Moe goes by the self-appointed title of the "Ultimate 380 lb Underdog" because Ponderosa BBQ was one of the highest ranked teams without a grand championship last year, he knows everyone will be pulling for him to take the grand prize this year!

SOUTHERN SOUL BBQ
PIT MASTER: HARRISON SAPP
Hometown: Saint Simons Island, GA
Harrison Sapp has a few reasons to fight for a win on "BBQ Pitmasters." He hasn't won a major championship and more importantly, his Georgia restaurant "Southern Soul BBQ" burned completely to the ground just a week after submitting his casting video. His biggest accomplishment to date is a 1st place chicken at the Atlanta BBQ Cookoff. When he competes, he won't sleep no matter how long the cook is.

TAINT THE SAUCE
PIT MASTER: NICOLE DAVENPORT
Hometown: Sheffield, TX
Nicole, a real live cowgirl, began cooking BBQ with her father at age 5 on her dad's homemade BBQ pit. She's most proud of her win at the WestFest Cookoff in Marathon, TX where she competed against "a bunch of old crusty rich ranchers and ranch hands who cook well but never get off the back-forty!" Nicole believes BBQ is an art and that it takes patience and good judgment on how to use smoke and fire.

HOT GRILL ON GRILL ACTION
PIT MASTER: RYAN AMYS
Hometown: Omaha, NE
Three years ago, two of the Midwests' best BBQ Pitmasters, Ryan Amys and Mathew Frampton, joined forces with two up-and-coming BBQ Journeymen, Logan Hendrickson and Chris Yelick. Their proudest BBQ accomplishment is taking 4th place out of 76 teams at the Nebraska State Championship in 2008. This team works best when every cook handles their own meat during contests. In addition to priding themselves on their BBQ skills, this team also invented what they call a "flabongo."
