Dr. Norman Rappaport has been actively practicing plastic and reconstructive surgery in Houston since 1980. The scope of his practice includes cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, craniofacial surgery and surgery of the hand. Dr. Rappaport maintains an interest and involvement in academic medicine as a clinical faculty member of The Baylor College of Medicine and actively participates on numerous boards and committees of national, regional and local plastic surgery related organizations.
Dr. Rappaport shares his medical expertise with local and international communities by assisting in the Chronically Ill and Disabled Children's Services Program, serving as a member of visiting surgical teams overseas and participating in speaking engagements.
He received his undergraduate degree at LaSalle College in Philadelphia and attended Medical School at the Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia. In 1975, Dr. Rappaport graduated from Hahnemann Medical College with Honors and went on to complete a fellowship in Hand Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania in 1978.
Dr. Rappaport received board certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 1980 and the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians in 1994.
