The live Miss America pageant was a thrilling competition. Hosted by Mario Lopez, it was the culmination of local and state pageants, the Countdown to the Crown reality series competition and your vote. Ultimately, the winning contestant was Miss Indiana, Katie Stam.

America Voted
The night before the live show, our online audience voted to select four of the contestants they think deserved to make it into the top 15 pageant candidates. Voting was conducted via text messaging and on this Web site after the final Countdown to the Crown episode. The winners of this vote were announced during the pageant.
