Miss America 2010
Voting Frequently Asked Questions

How do I vote?

Each contestant up for the public vote will be assigned a text message keyword, which will be their State name, during the show.  To vote, viewers should text the State name (e.g. Maine, Utah, Texas etc) to 97979.  To vote, simply watch Miss America 2010 on Friday, January 29, 2010 at 10p/9c on TLC (check local listings for times in your area) where the final Miss America contestants up for vote will be revealed.  At the end of the show voting will open and you can vote via text until the voting period closes at 5am ET on Saturday January 30, 2010.  You will receive a return text message confirming each valid vote cast.  If you exceed a 5 vote limit you will receive a return text message saying no more votes will be counted.  If you vote outside of the valid voting window, you will receive a one time message stating your vote will not be counted.

You may vote up to 5 times.  The producers reserve the right to disqualify, block or remove any votes from an individual who votes using any electronic, mechanical or automated means, or otherwise tampers with the vote process (see the Is there ever a time when votes I cast may not count? section).

Rules and procedures are subject to change at producer’s discretion without notice.
