Ronnie Rothstein graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1964. He subsequently received his law degree from the University of Miami in 1968 and became a member of the Florida Bar.

In 1976, Rothstein started a consumer products company named “Oh Dawn.” The firm received national attention for its unique products in such distinguished media as 'Forbes,' 'The New York Times,' 'The Los Angeles Times,' Johnny Carson’s 'Tonight Show, NBC 'Today' and many more.  After running the business for eight years, Rothstein sold “Oh Dawn” to an American Stock Exchange company and remained on in an executive capacity for several years.

Rothstein, Mara Urshel and Wayne Rogers, together with a group of investors, purchased Kleinfeld on July 9, 1999, at which time Ronald Rothstein and Mara Urshel became co-CEO and president respectively, and Wayne Rogers became co-CEO and chairman of the board.
