Kleinfeld Bridal Co-Owner Mara Urshel answers frequently asked questions about choosing a bridal veil.

Q:

Which veils are considered the most formal?

A:

The most formal veils are the cathedral and chapel length and the blusher.

Q:

Besides length, what other options does a bride have regarding her veil?

A:

Each veil type can be made with single or multiple tiers. Veils can be embellished with pearls, rhinestones, sequence, lace and ribbon.

Q:

How closely do the veil color and gown color need to match?

A:

They should match exactly.

Q:

Should a bride decide on her veil at the same time as her gown?

A:

Veils can be purchased with the gown, or at the first fitting.

Q:

How much time should a bride allow to find a veil?

A:

Designer veils take three to six months to order. Kleinfeld custom veils are made in-house: they take two to three months to finish.
