Season 1 Episode Guide

 
Each week, three cake artists will go head-to-head in the ultimate cake competition. They'll have only nine hours to construct a cake over five feet tall and weighing hundreds of pounds. Host Michael Schulson and Judges Leigh Grode and Margaret Braun will weigh in with tough critiques, and in the end one cake will be chosen as the winner and named the ultimate cake!

    Episode 1: Shark Summer
    Master cake decorators Tariq Hanna, Richard Medina and Ashley Vicos lead their teams in competition to create the ultimate cake for the Aquarium of the Pacific's Shark Summer Celebration. The winner showcases his/her cake at the aquarium and takes home $10,000!

    Episode 2: Pirates
    Master cake decorators Bob Brougham, Susan Carberry and Mike Elder lead their teams in competition to create the ultimate cake for the annual Pirate Invasion Fair in Long Beach. They'll only have nine hours to construct a cake over five feet tall, weighing hundreds of pounds and fit to feed a passel of pirates!

    Episode 3: Square Dancing
    Master cake decorators Norman R. Davis and Courtney Clark are joined by first-time competitor Clemence Gossett in a bid to win $10,000 and the opportunity to have their cake showcased in front of thousands of people at the 58th National Square Dancing Convention. The competition is tough, time is tight, the pressure is on…but there can only be one ultimate cake.

Which one of the decorators will have the skill, speed and determination to win the Ultimate Cake Off?

    Three master cake artists, Martha Hebert, Leslie Poyourow and Greg Marsh, lead their teams in competition to create the ultimate cake for the Petersen Automotive Museum's 15th Anniversary celebration. Who will drive off with the title?

    Episode 6: Wedding Celebration
    Cake decorators Norman Davis, Rebecca Sutterby and Mark Randazzo compete to create the ultimate Cake. They have nine hours to design, build and decorate a dream wedding cake for a celebration at the historic Ebell in downtown Los Angeles. Delicate sugar rose petals, a moving candy carousel and hundreds of white chocolate flowers will adorn these tiered masterpieces. When the cake is revealed at the event, the bride and groom feed each other morsels while our overjoyed winner looks on.

    Episode 7: Legoland
    Master cake decorators Dana Herbert, Kate Sullivan and Anne Heap lead their teams in creating the ultimate cake for Legoland California Resort's 10th Anniversary Celebration. They'll have only nine hours to construct a cake that normally takes weeks to build. In the end, it all comes down to the client's decision. Only one winner will walk away with $10,000 and the ultimate cake.

    Episode 8: Circus Spectacular

In the end, the Ringmaster from the circus will pick the cake that is truly ultimate!
